Position Overview

We are actively seeking dedicated Licensed Mental Health Counselors (LMHC, LMFT, LCSW) to join our dynamic team at Chance To Advance, Ltd. This full-time position offers you the opportunity to provide impactful mental health care remotely from the comfort of your own home while serving the Ithaca, New York community. Our operating hours are Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a structured work schedule that promotes work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients’ mental health needs, utilizing standardized diagnostic tools and personal interviews to establish a deep understanding of each individual.
• Develop personalized treatment plans that reflect the client's unique needs, preferences, and therapeutic goals, continually adapting these plans based on ongoing evaluations.
• Implement a variety of therapeutic interventions—including cognitive-behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused techniques—to support clients’ healing processes.
• Educate clients and their family members on mental health strategies that foster coping skills, emotional regulation, and resilience, providing them with valuable resources.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team, including psychiatrists, primary care physicians, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
• Engage in continuous professional development by attending workshops, webinars, and pursuing further education to stay current with mental health best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Chance To Advance, you will work with a diverse patient population, including children, adults, and families facing a broad spectrum of mental health challenges ranging from anxiety and depression to trauma-related disorders. You will provide culturally competent care while promoting a safe and supportive environment for clients to explore their thoughts and feelings.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in a behavioral health-related field, such as psychology, social work, or counseling.
• An active and valid New York State license in one of the following: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC).
• Exceptional communication skills and a comfort level with technology, particularly telehealth systems and electronic health record (EHR) platforms.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience in mental health counseling.
• Experience working in a community health setting or with underserved populations is a plus.
• Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic modalities and a commitment to ongoing training and professional growth.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this role ranges from USD 100,000 to 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
