Psychiatrist - PACT Program (Per Diem / Backup Coverage)
Location: various NJ counties
Schedule: Per Diem (Flexible Coverage)
Setting: Hybrid / Community-Based (PACT Program)
Program: Established PACT (Program of Assertive Community Treatment)
Position Overview
A well-established community behavioral health organization, in partnership with Center for Family Guidance, PC, is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Psychiatrist to provide per diem coverage for its PACT (Program of Assertive Community Treatment) team in NJ. This role is designed to support the existing full-time psychiatrist and ensure continuity of care for individuals living with serious mental illness (SMI).
This position offers flexibility and the opportunity to provide high-quality psychiatric care through a combination of telepsychiatry and community-based services.

Responsibilities
• Provide psychiatric evaluations and medication management for PACT clients as needed
• Offer coverage for the primary psychiatrist (PTO, leave, scheduling gaps)
• Participate in telepsychiatry and, when needed, in-field visits
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, including nurses, social workers, and case managers
• Support ongoing treatment planning and clinical decision-making
• Complete timely and accurate documentation in the electronic health record
• Participate in team meetings or case reviews as needed
Qualifications
• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
• Active New Jersey medical license (or ability to obtain)
• DEA license required
• Experience with serious mental illness (SMI) preferred
• Comfort with flexible scheduling and team-based care
Compensation
• Per diem rate commensurate with experience
• Malpractice coverage provided
• Flexible scheduling with no long-term commitment required
