Job Summary:
Cerris is a construction company with a nearly 100-year history, emphasizing quality craftsmanship and employee growth. The IT Support Specialist will provide technical support to end users, oversee hardware and software setups, and troubleshoot IT issues to ensure smooth operations.
Responsibilities:
• Supervise and/or coordinate the setup and installation of hardware and software for new IT equipment.
• Upgrade, repair and maintain software and hardware.
• Maintain a database of all IT related equipment.
• Troubleshoot, recommend and, as needed, resolve problems on company IT equipment.
• Schedule and estimate the time, cost and labor for completion of jobs and projects.
• Establish relationship with vendors to ensure compliance with license and service agreements.
• Participate in the development of equipment and software specifications and the request for proposal (RFP) process.
• Assist with the backup of the computer system and storage of backup media in a secure location.
• Respond to telephone calls, email and personnel requests for technical support. Document, track and monitor the problem to ensure a timely resolution.
• Exercise initiative or, as directed, perform additional duties to meet the needs of the organization.
Qualifications:
Required:
• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college/university or equivalent experience.
• Two to five years or more of related work experience required.
• Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Moderate physical demands including walking, standing, bending or lifting of moderately heavy (25-50 pounds) items.
• Ability to exercise initiative or perform additional duties as directed.
