Work Environment

This role is onsite and involves traveling to patients' homes within the Fairfax area, allowing for a unique, individualized approach to therapy. Our home care setting encourages flexibility, allowing you to establish your own work hours from Monday to Friday, making it easier to balance professional and personal commitments while still meeting the diverse needs of our patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients recovering from various injuries, surgeries, or chronic diseases in their home environment.
• Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans that incorporate a variety of modalities, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and the use of state-of-the-art equipment.
• Educate patients, caregivers, and families on treatment protocols, home exercise programs, and assistive devices that may enhance mobility and quality of life.
• Document patient progress meticulously, tracking outcomes and making necessary modifications to treatment strategies.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and provide training on the application of therapy techniques and assistive devices to support coordinated care.
• Maintain compliance with state regulations and professional standards while contributing to the continuous improvement of practice within Centra Physical Therapy.
• Stay current in the field through ongoing education, professional workshops, and active participation in industry associations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role as a Physical Therapist at Centra Physical Therapy will involve working with a diverse patient population, from pediatric clients to elderly individuals, each with unique physical therapy needs. This hands-on role allows you to apply your expertise in a variety of conditions, including post-operative recovery, stroke rehabilitation, sports injuries, and mobility challenges associated with aging. Your work will directly facilitate improved patient outcomes, aiding individuals in regaining independence and enhancing their quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution is required.
• A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Virginia.

• Proficiency in word processing and computer skills for documentation and reporting.
• Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a home care setting.

Preferred Experience
