This full-time position is primarily remote, offering flexibility and convenience while providing essential mental health care in a school setting. With a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 per year, plus bonus opportunities, this role is pivotal in enhancing the mental well-being of our clients.

About the Organization

At Centered Counseling Services, we are devoted to creating a center of well-being within the communities we serve, providing access to affordable, high-quality mental health care. We are committed to empowering individuals and families through evidence-based practices and holistic approaches to mental health. Our experienced team works collaboratively to ensure our clients receive comprehensive support tailored to their unique needs.

Work Environment

This position applies to a remote working setting, offering the opportunity to engage with clients from the comfort of your own home while maintaining a structured schedule. The focus is on providing mental health services within a school environment, requiring you to adapt your therapeutic techniques to a dynamic and diverse client population, ensuring that students receive the support they need to thrive academically and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize your education and training to assess and formulate independent psychosocial diagnoses, creating a comprehensive understanding of each client’s situation.
  • Develop and implement individualized, patient-centered treatment plans in partnership with clients, ensuring their needs and preferences are at the forefront of care strategies.
  • Employ evidence-based behavioral interventions, including but not limited to solution-focused treatment, motivational interviewing, and behavioral activation, to facilitate positive outcomes.
  • Engage collaboratively with primary care providers, other clinicians, and psychologists within the integrated care model to promote a holistic approach to treating our clients.
  • Continuously track and monitor patient progress through systematic assessment and treatment adherence evaluations, ensuring timely adjustments to care plans as necessary.
  • Assist with psychotropic medication management, focusing on adherence, side effects, and treatment effectiveness in conjunction with medical providers.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with diverse student populations, addressing both common and complex mental health challenges that arise in school settings. This role involves understanding the unique stressors faced by students, including academic pressures, social dynamics, and family situations. Your expertise will directly contribute to fostering resilience and the overall mental health of these young individuals.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
  • Possession of a current, valid, and unrestricted license to practice independently as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New York.
  • At least 1 year of demonstrated experience working as an independently licensed therapist, showcasing a commitment to mental health excellence.
Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, experience working within school systems or with youth populations will be beneficial. Familiarity with trauma-informed care and a background in implementing school-based mental health initiatives can enhance your effectiveness in this role.

Compensation and Benefits

In addition to a competitive yearly salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000, Centered Counseling Services offers an annual incentive bonus. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:

  • A robust health and wellness benefits plan.
  • A 401(K) retirement plan with employer matching to help you secure your financial future.
  • Reimbursement for license renewal fees to support your professional growth.
  • Funding for continuing education opportunities to help you stay updated on best practices and gain new skills.
  • Malpractice insurance coverage for your peace of mind while you focus on client care.
