Position Overview

Center Stone Counseling Services is seeking an empathetic and skilled Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our dedicated team. In this full-time, remote role, you will utilize your expertise in mental health to provide comprehensive evaluations, create tailored treatment plans, and deliver both individual and group therapy sessions. Work Environment

This position is a remote role, allowing you flexibility while remaining an integral part of the Center Stone Counseling Services team. You will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary group of healthcare professionals, including psychologists, social workers, nurses, and administrative staff, ensuring our clients receive a coordinated and effective treatment experience. Despite the remote setting, we prioritize a strong organizational culture built on communication, support, and shared goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations by performing initial interviews that assess clients’ mental, emotional, and behavioral health.
  • Develop and implement personalized intervention strategies designed to meet the unique needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.
  • Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, employing various therapeutic modalities tailored to client requirements.
  • For clients with more complex needs, coordinate efforts with psychiatrists and other medical professionals, ensuring a seamless transition of care during hospitalizations.
  • Monitor and document client progress throughout treatment, adjusting plans and interventions as necessary to promote successful outcomes.
  • Provide guidance and support to family members or primary caregivers to help them address mental health challenges they may face alongside their loved ones.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of each client’s treatment journey, ensuring adherence to relevant standards and compliance with regulations.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our population primarily consists of individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma-related issues, and other mental health conditions. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the recovery process of diverse groups, enabling you to make a profound impact on their overall mental well-being.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid state licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
  • Demonstrable experience as a mental health counselor, with a strong foundation in current psychotherapeutic practices and theories.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems, particularly AVATAR, for effective documentation and case management.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in addressing a range of mental health issues, including addiction and dual diagnosis.
  • Knowledge of best practices from the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) and familiarity with effective therapies tied to drug impacts.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, along with a compassionate nature that aligns with our values of empathy and support.
Compensation and Benefits
