Job Description Summary

The Communications Manager, Media Relations & Social Media is a hybrid, hands‑on communications role responsible for execution‑level enterprise media relations, issues and crisis response support, and social media strategy and management for the Medical University of South Carolina. This position serves as a primary media contact for assigned enterprise inquiries and executes day‑to‑day content creation, publishing, monitoring, and reporting across MUSC’s social media platforms. This role operates within defined escalation and approval protocols for crisis communications, regulatory matters, and executive response.
