Job description

Staff Speech-Language Pathologist

Responsible for planning and implementation of Speech-Language Pathology evaluation and treatment services. Evaluates communication disorders and administers therapy treatments for patient problems associated with hearing, speech, language, cognitive and swallowing disorders. Maintains records, monitors progress, and counsels patients and their family members. Participates in multidisciplinary consultations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited curriculum in Speech and Language Pathology.
  • Licensure/Certification: N. C. State Licensure or eligible.
  • Experience: New graduates will be considered.
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
    • Knowledge of contemporary and evidence-based Speech Language Pathology practices and treatment.
    • Ability to interpret clinician prescriptions and referrals.
    • Ability to motivate, educate and encourage patients.
    • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
    • Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
    • Proficient with MS Office and Epic/EMR software with the ability to learn new software rapidly.
