Job description

Cedar Ridge is seeking a Full-Time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our in-house rehabilitation team in Farmington, NM. Position Summary

As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will evaluate, diagnose, and treat residents with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. You’ll play a vital role in enhancing quality of life through individualized, evidence-based care and close collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing abilities

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals

  • Provide therapy for communication disorders, cognitive impairments, and dysphagia

  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and therapy team members to ensure coordinated care

  • Educate residents, families, and caregivers on strategies to support communication and safe swallowing

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with regulatory standards

  • Participate in care planning meetings and quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program

  • Current New Mexico SLP license (or eligibility)

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred or Clinical Fellowship (CF) welcome

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Experience in SNF or long-term care preferred, but not required
