Job description

Advisor. Strategist. Risk Taker.

If any of these are in your dream job title — we're looking for you.

About Cavalry Associates:

Cavalry Associates is an industry leader providing consulting services and navigating city agencies on behalf of developers, builders, architects, engineers, property owners, and other building professionals.

What We're Looking For:

Someone who thrives on big rewards, not just minimizing risk — a motivator, negotiator, and bold thinker

No prior industry experience required — we don't want someone who "knows the code"; we want someone smart enough to read any code, because it changes every day

Positive, coachable, and a strong personality fit with the team

Proactive — willing to stretch beyond the job description

What You'll Do:

Conduct research and prepare strategies for new and ongoing projects, including risk assessment and course correction

Manage applications to city agencies (DOB, FDNY, DEP, DOT) to obtain necessary approvals and permits

Prepare for and attend project meetings with internal staff, clients, and vendors

Prepare for meetings with NYC Planning Examiners; review and respond to agency objections

We Will Be Testing Your Limits On:

Productivity. Critical thinking. Detail orientation. Multitasking (a.k.a. time management). Game recognize game.

How to Apply:

Send us your cover letter and resume.
