Job Title: Cath Lab Technologist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Cath Lab Technologist to join our growing healthcare team in Brownwood, TX. As a Cath Lab Technologist, you will be responsible for assisting physicians in the performance of diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. You will play a critical role in ensuring patients receive accurate and timely diagnosis and treatment while providing compassionate care.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Set up and operate complex imaging and therapeutic equipment during procedures.
Assist physicians during procedures, including circulating and scrubbing.
Monitor patients vital signs and report any changes to the physician.
Administer medications as ordered and ensure patient safety throughout the procedure.
Perform quality checks on equipment and ensure proper functioning.
Document patient procedures, outcomes, and medications accurately in the electronic medical record.
Prepare and maintain all equipment, supplies, and medications needed for procedures.
Qualifications and Skills:
Associates or Bachelors degree in Radiologic Technology, Cardiovascular Technology, or related field required.
Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) certification.
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist.
Knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment without compromising quality of care.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including on-call and weekends.
