Build Safer Homes. Change Lives in a Day.

Carolina Home Access helps seniors, veterans, and families stay safe and independent at home. We install stair lifts, ramps, grab bars, handrails, and other accessibility solutions -- most projects take a day or less.

We're looking for a skilled, dependable Home Accessibility Installer to complete projects in clients' homes and provide a professional, reassuring experience from start to finish.

This is flexible, per-job work. Accept projects that fit your schedule. We provide the leads, equipment, and support.

What You'll Do

  • Install stair lifts, wheelchair ramps, grab bars, handrails, and accessibility products
  • Review project plans and measurements before beginning work
  • Complete installations safely, accurately, and to manufacturer standards
  • Test all equipment to confirm it operates properly
  • Teach customers and caregivers how to use and maintain the equipment
  • Communicate patiently and clearly with seniors, families, and people with disabilities
  • Protect clients' homes, maintain a clean work area, and leave properties better than you found them
  • Document completed work and report any follow-up needs
  • Represent Carolina Home Access with professionalism, compassion, and accountability

What You Bring

Must Have:

  • Ability to communicate clearly in English with customers
  • Patient, kind, and genuinely interested in helping people
  • Coachable, dependable, and eager to learn
  • Valid driver's license + reliable transportation
  • Standard set of hand and power tools (specialty equipment provided)
  • Ability to safely lift, carry, and position heavy equipment
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently in clients' homes
  • Commitment to quality work -- right the first time

Nice to Have:

  • Experience installing stair lifts, ramps, grab bars, or accessibility equipment
  • Familiarity with accessibility, mobility, or aging-in-place needs
  • Background in carpentry, HVAC, remodeling, home services, or equipment installation
  • Familiarity with electrical, mechanical, or manufacturer installation requirements

What You'll Get

  • $26-$40/hour (based on experience, skills, and project complexity)
  • W-2, part-time, as-needed position -- accept projects that fit your schedule
  • Projects typically Monday-Friday, daytime hours
  • Carolina Home Access provides leads, equipment, project info, and back-office support
  • Product and installation training provided
  • Opportunity for additional income as project volume increases
  • Potential to grow into a leadership role training other installers
