Work Environment

This role is based onsite at our modern rehabilitation facility in Norfolk, where you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient care. The facility is equipped with the latest therapeutic technology and resources, allowing our therapists to create personalized treatment plans that effectively address each patient's unique needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients recovering from injuries, illnesses, or surgeries through comprehensive assessments in a home care and rehabilitation setting.
• Establish and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate various therapeutic modalities, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and patient education.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, adapting treatment strategies in response to their evolving needs.
• Conduct regular re-evaluations and adjust therapeutic goals, ensuring a patient-centered approach to recovery.
• Recommend appropriate assistive devices to enhance patients' mobility and independence, and provide necessary training in their use.
• Facilitate educational sessions for patients, caregivers, and healthcare team members on effective physical therapy practices and modalities.
• Stay current with industry trends and advancements by attending workshops and participating in professional organizations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our Physical Therapists work with a diverse clientele, including children and adults facing various diagnoses and recovery challenges. We are committed to addressing the unique needs of each patient, utilizing a thorough understanding of physical therapy disciplines to optimize their rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Valid State License to practice Physical Therapy in Virginia.
• A minimum of two years of experience in a clinical setting.
• Proficient communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong computer and word processing skills.
• Ability to adapt and maintain flexibility in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of clinical experience is required, we are particularly interested in candidates who bring additional expertise in specialized therapy areas or demonstrate a true passion for patient-centered care. Previous experience in a home care environment will be an advantage but is not mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 110,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications. Carilion Physical Therapy provides a comprehensive benefits package, including:

• Flexible work schedule with hours from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm or 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
