Carilion Physical Therapy is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Physical Therapist to join our dynamic rehabilitation team in Herndon, Virginia. Work Environment

The Physical Therapist role at our Herndon facility is an onsite position located in a state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility designed to cater to our patients' diverse therapeutic needs. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of each patient’s condition, formulating well-structured treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
  • Utilize various therapeutic modalities, including exercise regimens, manual therapy techniques, and specialized equipment to facilitate healing and promote mobility.
  • Document treatment protocols, patient responses, and progress diligently to ensure continuity of care and adherence to best practices.
  • Regularly reevaluate and adjust treatment strategies to reflect patient progress and changing needs, ensuring optimal therapeutic outcomes.
  • Advise and educate patients, caregivers, and family members on treatment protocols and the use of assistive devices as required.
  • Engage in continual professional development through workshops, professional publications, and community involvement to maintain high standards of practice.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population ranges from children to seniors, reflecting a wide variety of diagnoses, including orthopedic injuries, neurological disorders, and post-operative rehabilitation. As a Physical Therapist, you will work closely with each patient to understand their unique challenges, ensuring a person-centered approach that promotes recovery and empowers them to achieve their personal rehabilitation goals.

Qualifications
  • A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
  • A valid state license to practice physical therapy in Virginia.
  • A minimum of two years of hands-on experience in a clinical setting, preferably in rehabilitation.
  • Strong communication abilities, both written and verbal, enabling effective interactions with patients, families, and team members.
  • Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems for documentation and patient management.
  • A proactive approach towards personal agility and adaptability in managing a varied case load.
Preferred Experience

While prior experience in a rehabilitation facility is advantageous, it is not mandatory. We welcome applications from newly graduated physical therapists who are eager to learn and grow under the mentorship of seasoned professionals.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers an attractive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 110,000 per year, complemented by a robust benefits package.
