CareCore at Mentor is seeking a dependable and motivated Full-Time Cook to join our Dietary team! This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys preparing quality meals and working in a team-focused healthcare environment.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and resident dietary needs
Follow food safety, sanitation, and infection control standards
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and work area
Assist with meal preparation, serving, and kitchen cleanup as needed
Follow special diets, portion guidelines, and dietary instructions
Work closely with the Dietary Manager and facility team
Qualifications:
Previous cooking experience preferred
Healthcare, long-term care, or senior living experience is a plus, but not required
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
Dependable, organized, and able to work well as part of a team
Must be available for a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed
