Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough psychological assessments and evaluations to develop individualized therapy plans tailored to each client's unique needs and circumstances.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, to individuals, couples, families, and groups.
• Maintain meticulous clinical documentation in compliance with state laws and ethical standards, ensuring accurate records that reflect client progress and therapeutic efficacy.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care, sharing insights and strategies to support clients effectively.
• Participate in ongoing professional development, including workshops and training, to stay abreast of the latest advancements in mental health practices and research.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary clientele includes diverse individuals and families who may struggle with various mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. Care First Counseling Center is particularly focused on reaching those with limited access to traditional mental health services, ensuring that all sessions are handled with empathy and understanding to establish trust and rapport.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is mandatory.
• Possession of an active and unrestricted LPC license in the state of Texas.
• A minimum of two years of counseling experience, with an emphasis on direct client service preferred.
• Strong knowledge of legal and ethical standards in counseling practices.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients from various backgrounds.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.

Preferred Experience

• Specialization or previous experience in family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance abuse counseling is highly desirable.
• Experience with telehealth platforms and remote counseling techniques is a plus, as it enhances client engagement and treatment outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits
