Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy strategies for clients, conducting thorough assessments and evaluations to inform treatment planning.
  • Deliver a variety of evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused therapy.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians and other healthcare providers, to deliver comprehensive and coordinated client care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records, adhering to all relevant legal and ethical standards.
  • Participate in workshops, training, and professional development opportunities to stay current with advancements in mental health practices and research.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The role focuses on serving a diverse clientele, including individuals and families facing various mental health challenges. Many clients at Care First Counseling Center come from underserved populations who may have limited access to traditional mental health resources, thus requiring counselors who are compassionate and culturally competent.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field is required.
  • Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas.
  • Minimum of two years of counseling experience, preferably within a clinical setting.
  • Strong understanding of legal and ethical standards related to counseling practice.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
Preferred Experience
  • Specialization in areas such as family therapy, couples therapy, substance use disorders, or trauma-informed care.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a healthcare team.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and related technologies to enhance service efficiency.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is USD 70,000 – 90,000 annually, commensurate with experience and caseload accessibility. Care First Counseling Center offers comprehensive benefits, which include:
