Job description

Cardinal FG, a float glass manufacturer for residential windows in Portage, is looking for Production Technicians who work safely, have a strong work ethic, are dependable, have a positive attitude, and work effectively in a team environment.

Cardinal Portage offers a 12-hour rotating and straight shift schedule of days or nights (pending availability), working 3 or 4 shifts/week. Working half the days of the year, this schedule provides every other weekend off.  

Future schedules could be Straight DAYS, Straight NIGHTS or ROTATING days/nights.

May need to start as a part-time employee and could transition to full-time employment, pending availability and performance.

Qualifications/ Physical Requirements:

  • Operate power industrial vehicles, once trained and certified
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Reliable transportation
  • Must be 18 years of age to apply
  • High school diploma or its equivalent preferred
  • Basic math, computer and tape measuring skills
  • Able to safely lift at least 50 pounds 
  • Must be able to bend, twist, squat, kneel, or stand for long periods of time
  • Clear understanding of the English language, both written and spoken
  • Pass a pre-employment physical ability test, background check, and drug screen
