Inspired by the teachings of Jesus Christ, the mission of Cardinal Ritter Senior Services is to be a recognized provider in giving person centered care through an integrated continuum of quality residential, healthcare, and supportive social services for senior adults throughout the Archdiocese of Saint Louis.
Job Summary
Cardinal Ritter Senior Services, a ministry of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of St. Louis, is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to be responsible for maintaining Cardinal Ritter Senior Services properties through daily inspections, repairs, and upkeep of buildings, grounds, and equipment. This position will perform general maintenance (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry), manage work orders and inventory, support contractors, and ensure cleanliness, safety, and timely response to maintenance requests and emergencies.
Overview and Responsibilities
  • Daily inspect building(s) and grounds, inside and outside, to determine need for repairs and clean up
  • Performs a wide variety of building and equipment repair and maintenance work, including apartment turnovers, painting, drywall repairs, electrical repairs, equipment testing and maintenance, plumbing, carpentry, etc.
  • Keep time and material records of all Work Orders.
  • Assist Maintenance Department in overseeing and escorting outside contractors.
  • Maintain all walkways and drives clear of any debris or obstruction, including snow removal and de-icing.
  • Perform cleaning and servicing of HVAC units. Regularly inspect and clean filters for the HVAC units in the apartments and common areas.
  • Clean make readies and common areas
  • Respond to requests from Management including issues with safety and security.
  • Respond immediately to all emergencies.
  • Maintain inventory of all items in shops and ordered items via onsite log

Knowledge and Experience Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in skilled trades, including plumbing, electrical, painting, and carpentry.

Skills and Competencies Required
  • Conduct daily inspections
  • Knowledgeable of emergency procedures
  • Ability to accurately and timely submit work orders
  • Ability to maintain shop inventory
  • Demonstrate respect for each client
  • Must be willing to work as a member of a team and take direction from supervisors
  • Must be able to prioritize work
  • Willing to obtain a refrigerant recovery certification

  • Responsible for representing Cardinal Ritter Senior Services in a caring professional manner.
