Review test cases, documentation and test automation for Car-Part Checkmate inventory software products. Write new automated tests from manual test cases. Run test automation with a purpose of signing off on new features. Present automated test plans and test automation strategies to the group as needed. Research new automation and development technologies, and design automation to incorporate and test new technologies when possible. Help migrate manual tests into the automation suites. Help the Checkmate QA Manager strategize manual vs automated testing goals. Automate Checkmate testing efforts using Ranorex Studio. Gather information from team members and apply to automation of new and existing test plans.
Major Tasks and Responsibilities:
รย Work with Automation Lead to strategize the organization of automation solutions
รย Research new automation and development technologies and work with Automation Lead to implement into current solutions.
รย Advise Automation Lead on the necessary environments and credentials to complete automation tasks.
รย Understand company objectives and strategize with Automation Lead about how automation strategies can meet company objectives.
รย Automate and maintain Checkmate testing efforts using Ranorex Studio
รย Write or assist with Checkmate test automation planning, creation and execution of regression testing
รย Work with upper management, programmers and QA team to ensure testing is relevant and effective
รย Work with development to advise on automation friendly code
รย Provide process, project, and test documentation when necessary
รย Participate in regular team training and review meetings
รย Participate in daily scrum and team meetings
รย Document task status and test results in JIRA per the Car-part standards.
รย Effectively communicate with management, coworkers and external customers
รย Take initiative to learn and expand role
รย Comply with Car-Part.com procedures, rules, and regulations.
รย Perform other tasks and have such other responsibilities as assigned by Car-Part as needed
Essential Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
รย At least 2 yearsโ experience
oย ย Ranorex Repository Knowledge
oย ย Ranorex Test Suite Structure
oย ย Ranorex data sources and parameter binding
รย Experience with C#, HTML, Perl or Java
รย Experienced with Standard Testing Methodologies
รย Experience with automated testing tools
รย Experience with SQL
รย Must be proactive, anticipate needs & work independently.
รย Experience with MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
รย Skilled at debugging software and identifying syntax, coding, and design errors
รย Exposure to all phases of the software development process.
รย Practiced software and testing documentation skills, including commenting code, and creating unit test plans
