Work Environment

Our clinic is located within a hospital setting in Springfield, Illinois, allowing for close coordination with specialists and easy access to advanced medical care when needed. The role necessitates working onsite Monday through Friday, ensuring a consistent routine and a collaborative atmosphere with your healthcare colleagues. As a Physician Assistant, you will play a crucial role in our healthcare delivery system, working alongside physicians and other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including obtaining detailed medical histories and performing physical examinations to support accurate diagnostics.
• Work in collaboration with physicians and healthcare providers to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients across the age spectrum.
• Order and analyze diagnostic tests, interpreting results to refine treatment strategies tailored to patient needs.
• Administer vaccinations and medications, offering education on preventive healthcare and lifestyle adjustments to promote wellness.
• Monitor chronic health conditions, coordinating referrals and follow-ups as necessary for specialty care.
• Utilize the EPIC EMR system to maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions, supporting healthcare continuity.
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives, integrating best practices and recent advances in medicine into your daily practice.
• Foster compassionate patient relationships, emphasizing the importance of patient-centered care while adhering to ethical and legal standards.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program.

Preferred Experience

• A Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits
