The Role
As a Managing Principal in Capco's Payments Practice, you will be a senior leader responsible for shaping and executing our payments strategy in the Canadian market. You will drive opportunity creation, lead major payments transformation programmes, and act as a trusted advisor to banks, payment service providers, networks, and fintechs. Success in this role requires deep expertise in Canada's modernising payments ecosystem, combined with strong market leadership and client engagement.

What You'll Do

  • Contribute to and execute Capco's Canada Payments strategy across real-time, high-value, batch, digital, and emerging payments
  • Develop new client opportunities and build executive-level relationships across banks, PSPs, networks, and fintechs
  • Lead delivery of large-scale payments modernisation programmes spanning architecture, operations, and regulatory change
  • Advise clients on payments regulation, industry change, and emerging themes such as ISO 20022, Open Banking, operational resilience, and risk management
  • Build Capco's payments capabilities and thought leadership, representing the firm at industry forums and market events

What We're Looking For

  • Deep knowledge of the Canadian payments ecosystem, including Payments Canada systems and market infrastructure
  • Proven experience delivering complex payments transformations across technology, operations, and compliance
  • Demonstrated leadership in client advisory, sales development, and multi-workstream programme execution
  • Strong executive presence with experience engaging senior stakeholders across business, technology, and risk
  • Inclusive leadership approach with the ability to grow teams, practices, and long-term client partnerships

Bonus Points For

  • Hands-on experience with ISO 20022 migration, real-time payments, or Open Banking initiatives
  • Experience working with payment service providers, fintechs, or payments ISVs
  • Exposure to regulatory and supervisory environments impacting payments in Canada
  • Thought leadership contributions or speaking roles in payments industry forums
  • Experience delivering transformation programmes in complex, regulated environments

Why Join Capco

  • Work in a collaborative, flat consulting culture that values diverse perspectives
  • Play a senior role in growing Capco's Payments practice and market presence
  • Access continuous learning, leadership development, and global career opportunities
  • Be part of a purpose-led organisation shaping the future of financial services
