JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Expeditor (Expo)

Reports To: Shift Lead / Assistant Manager / General Manager

Position Overview: As an Expeditor (Expo) at Canton Rodeo, you are the command center of service. You will be tasked with ensuring that every order is accurate, complete, and delivered quickly. You coordinate between the service line, kitchen, and guests to prevent mistakes, reduce wait times, and maintain smooth operations. You are the final checkpoint before food reaches our guests, building trust through accuracy, speed, and care.

Compensation Range: $18.00 - $18.75/hr

• Proactively circulate through the dining room to check on dine-in guests when needed

Order Accuracy Ownership & Fulfillment

• Organize tickets and manage multiple orders simultaneously with speed and precision
• Assemble and pack orders accurately while maintaining presentation standards
• Serve as the final quality checkpoint before handoff to guests or delivery partners
• Verify all items, modifications, packaging, and labeling against tickets
• Ensure special instructions and dietary requests are fulfilled or escalated to management when necessary
• Confirm bags are sealed properly and include all utensils, sauces, and condiments
• Communicate clearly with service line, kitchen, and management regarding missing or incorrect items
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient packing and pickup station
• Personally, hand orders to guests and delivery partners when possible, confirming accuracy to build trust

Order & Station Support

• Restock to-go supplies (bags, sauce cups, cutlery, napkins)
• Organize and maintain pick-up shelves
• Refill water station
• Prepare and serve soft-serve ice cream when needed
• Complete food safety training and follow all safety procedures

Cleanliness & Organization

• Maintain 100% adherence to uniform standards
• Practice “Clean as You Go” across the service line
• Clean and maintain workstations including:
  • Counter spaces
  • Induction tables
  • Carving station
  • Ice cream machine
  • Beverage equipment
  • Display windows
• Restock supplies as needed
• Maintain cleanliness inside and outside the restaurant
• Conduct dining room and restroom checks
• Support dishwashing and back-of-house by carrying back soiled pans, boards, knives and serving utensils
• Follow all sanitation, safety, and chemical handling procedures

Team Collaboration

• Communicate clearly with Front and Back of House teams
• Maintain speed and flow during peak rushes
• Support teammates wherever needed
• Maintain a team-first work environment by embracing Canton Rodeo’s Chain Reaction philosophy

• Prior restaurant or retail experience
• POS experience (Toast preferred)
• Passion for food and hospitality
• Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
• Food Handler certification (per local requirements)

Store Conditions

• Counter areas often hot with steam from induction table and warming drawers
• Hot kitchens with high noise levels

Physical Requirements

• Standing for extended periods
• Ability to move quickly and efficiently
• Must be able to lift to 50 lbs
• Work with and around hot and cold foods
