Position: Zoom Boom Operator – Turnaround

We are currently hiring experienced Zoom Boom Operators for a turnaround project at the CNRL Horizon Site. This is a fly-in/fly-out opportunity with camp accommodations provided, charter flights available from Edmonton or Calgary, and competitive rates. The successful candidates will be responsible for safely operating telehandlers while supporting material handling, equipment movement, and daily construction activities throughout the duration of the turnaround.


Qualifications & Education:

  • Previous experience operating Zoom Boom (Telehandler) equipment in an industrial or construction environment
  • Experience working in the Oil & Gas industry is considered a strong asset
  • Valid Telehandler/Zoom Boom Operator certification
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License
  • Required certifications: H2S Alive, CSTS or CSO, WHMIS 2015, Confined Space, and Fall Protection
  • Ability to commit to a 12 & 2 rotation, working up to 12-hour days for the full duration of the turnaround


Skills, Attributes, and Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate Zoom Boom (Telehandler) equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications, company procedures, and site requirements
  • Transport, load, unload, and position materials, tools, and equipment safely throughout the project site
  • Perform pre-use inspections and complete daily equipment inspection reports
  • Identify and report equipment defects or maintenance requirements promptly
  • Work closely with supervision, trades, and other site personnel to support daily operations
  • Maintain awareness of site hazards and ensure safe operation around personnel and equipment
  • Follow lift plans and assist with material handling in accordance with project requirements
  • Maintain excellent housekeeping practices and ensure work areas remain clean and organized
  • Demonstrate strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills while maintaining a commitment to safety and quality
  • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with Canoco safety standards and client-specific requirements
