We are seeking a friendly, energetic, and sales-oriented Smoke Shop Sales Associate to join our team at Candy Cloudz. In this customer-facing role, you'll provide excellent service, help customers find the perfect smoke, hemp, or vape products, drive sales through smart upselling and deal promotions (like encouraging reviews for incentives), and keep the store looking sharp and inviting. Key Responsibilities

• Customer Service & Sales
• • Greet every customer warmly, build rapport, and assist them in finding products that match their needs (e.g., pipes, vapes, hemp items, accessories).
  • Actively engage customers to promote current deals — such as encouraging them to scan the QR code for reviews in exchange for incentives (e.g., "Love your experience? Help us grow by leaving a review and get your deal!").
  • Upsell and cross-sell products naturally — suggest complementary items like accessories, higher-quality options, bundles, or add-ons to increase average transaction value while ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Provide knowledgeable recommendations on products, including features, flavors, strengths, and usage tips. Stay up-to-date on new arrivals and trends.
• Transactions & Compliance
• • Process sales accurately using the POS system, handle cash, credit/debit cards, and other payments.
  • Verify customer age (ID checks) for all age-restricted purchases in full compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
  • Handle returns, exchanges, and customer inquiries professionally.
• Store Maintenance & Cleanliness
• • Keep the store clean, organized, and visually appealing at all times — dust shelves, clean glass displays, empty trash, and tidy the sales floor.
  • Restock products, rotate inventory, and ensure displays are neat and fully stocked.
  • Perform opening/closing duties, including cash drawer counts and basic store prep.
• Team & Business Support
• • Help maintain a positive, welcoming atmosphere for all customers.
  • Report any inventory issues, low stock, or customer feedback to management.
  • Participate in team meetings and training on products, sales techniques, and promotions.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Previous retail, customer service, or sales experience preferred (smoke shop, vape, or head shop experience is a big plus!).
• Strong sales skills with a natural ability to upsell and promote deals without being pushy.
• Friendly, outgoing personality with excellent communication and people skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible shifts (including evenings, weekends, and holidays).
• Basic math skills for handling cash and transactions.
• Knowledge of smoke shop products (vapes, hemp, accessories, etc.) or willingness to learn quickly.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25-50 lbs occasionally.
• Must be 21+ and pass any required background checks.
