Role Description This is a full-time Electrical Engineer role based in Bronx, NY with a hybrid work arrangement, allowing part of the work to be performed from home. The Electrical Engineer will design and review electrical systems, including power distribution layouts and power systems for residential, commercial, or industrial projects. Daily responsibilities include preparing technical drawings and specifications, performing calculations, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards. The role involves collaborating with project managers, other engineers, and external stakeholders to resolve technical issues and support project delivery. The Electrical Engineer will also participate in site visits, inspections, and testing activities to verify installation quality and system performance, while contributing to continuous improvement of engineering processes and documentation.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Electrical Engineering, with practical understanding of electricity and electrical principles.
  • Proficiency in Electrical Design, including development of schematics, layouts, and technical documentation.
  • Experience with Power Distribution systems, including load calculations, panel schedules, and protective device coordination.
  • Knowledge of Power Systems analysis, reliability, and efficiency, using appropriate engineering tools and methods.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
  • Familiarity with applicable codes and standards (e.g., NEC, local building and electrical codes).
  • Ability to use engineering and CAD/design software for modeling and documentation.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid team environment.
  • Relevant professional experience in building, industrial, or utility projects; EIT/PE licensure or progress toward licensure is a plus.
