Campbell Construction is excited to announce a career opportunity for a skilled Construction Carpenter to join our dynamic team. This full-time position is ideal for a professional adept in handling various carpentry tasks across retail, restaurant, commercial, and industrial projects. At Campbell Construction, our carpenters are crucial in building the backbone of our physical projects, taking on everything from basic structural framing to intricate finish carpentry. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to quality and safety. Please note, this position is not remote and will require physical presence on-site.

The successful candidate will be responsible for interpreting blueprints and specifications to measure, cut, and assemble materials accurately to construct frameworks and other structures according to construction plans. This role demands a high level of precision and understanding of complex instructions to ensure that all constructions are robust, compliant, and aesthetically pleasing.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Perform rough carpentry including framing walls, floors, roofs, and structural components.
• Construct and install formwork for concrete such as footings, columns, slabs, and walls.
• Install doors, windows, cabinetry, drywall backing, and finish trim.
• Measure, cut, and shape materials using hand and power tools.
• Layout building components to ensure accuracy and alignment.
• Work with materials such as wood, plywood, steel studs, and concrete forms.
• Maintain job site cleanliness and organization.
• Follow OSHA safety standards and company safety policies.
• Collaborate with superintendents, foremen, and other trades to meet project deadlines.
• Identify and resolve construction issues in the field.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques and construction methods.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents.
• Proficient with carpentry tools and equipment.
• Understanding of building codes and safety regulations.
• Physical ability to lift materials and work in various environments.
• Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
• Optional: Experience in commercial projects such as restaurants, retail, and tenant improvements.
• Optional: Experience with metal stud framing and drywall systems.
