Job description

Join the STEM SQUAD we are a passionate team working mornings in a part-time program. The teacher will be working with small groups of elementary students in a unique outdoor and nature-based learning environment (we have air conditioned cabins when it gets to warm outside). Our STEM Tutoring and Nature program emphasizes engaging instruction in reading, writing, and math while fostering a love for learning in nature. Enjoy Fridays off and rediscover your passion for teaching in a supportive and innovative setting.

Responsibilities

  • Teach lessons in reading, writing, math, and STEM subjects
  • Provide instruction in outdoor and nature-based settings
  • Assess student progress to tailor instruction effectively
  • Manage small groups of 5-10 elementary students
  • Develop new curriculum and modify existing materials for program needs
  • Utilize printed materials and other teaching aids
  • Maintain a positive classroom environment and manage student behavior

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years of teaching experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
  • Skills in classroom management and lesson planning
  • Experience in STEM education and outdoor education
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and math instruction
  • Strong communication skills

Company Description

Excellent classroom management skills. Prepare lessons plans for students in accordance with established curriculum. Assess student needs and performance. Develop, implement and evaluate daily lessons plans, to include scheduled activities and materials. Modify your instruction to meet the needs of each child. We have very small classroom to create a positive and stress- free environment class size in under 10 students. Evaluate students' performance in regarding to achievement. Have fun here and enjoy your students that is the most important desired qualification.
