NOTICE OF VACANCY
March 19, 2026
POSITION: HIGH SCHOOL SUMMER SCHOOL TEACHER
LOCATION: Calvert High School
POSITION SUMMARY: Pending student enrollment, CCPS will offer a High School Summer School program which will begin on July 06, 2026, and run through July 30, 2026. High School Summer School will take place at Calvert High School. Classes will be in session from 7:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. or 11:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday.
CCPS Summer School will offer:
  • English
  • Mathematics
  • Science
  • Social Studies
  • Physical Education

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE: At the time of application, the candidate must hold or be eligible for
  • MSDE certification in the assigned role.

References must be directly related to educational experience and must include immediate supervisor.
State law requires that anyone hired after October 1, 1986, who will have contact with school children, must be fingerprinted and submit to a criminal background investigation. Federal law requires that a new employee must complete the Employment Eligibility Verification (Form I-9) in person before beginning employment. Employment is conditional upon successful completion of a drug screen. Current employees of the Calvert County Public Schools are exempt from these requirements.
