Director of Procurement (42735)


Our client is an organization in the Calumet County area that’s looking for a Director of Procurement. Our client is looking for someone with 7+ years of experience, with excellent communication and leadership skills. This company offers a collaborative culture, competitive benefits, and high visibility. This position is onsite.


The salary for this position is $142K - $183K.


The Director of Procurement will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute sourcing and procurement strategies to support business objectives and supply continuity.
  • Manage supplier selection, contract negotiations, and ongoing supplier relationships to ensure quality, service, and value.
  • Monitor market conditions and industry trends to identify opportunities, risks, and cost impacts.
  • Ensure supplier compliance with company policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to support operational needs, forecasting, and new product initiatives.
  • Utilize procurement systems, data analysis, and performance metrics to support effective decision-making and budget management.
  • Lead and develop procurement team members while promoting continuous improvement, collaboration, and professional excellence.


The Director of Procurement will possess the following:


EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Science, or a related field
  • 7+ years of progressive finance experience
  • Demonstrated success leading and scaling high-performing teams
  • High attention to detail, ownership, and accountability
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, influencing, and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to manage complex supplier relationships with strong commercial acumen
