Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Calm Seas Therapy, you will be instrumental in delivering high-quality mental health support to adults. Your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough assessments to evaluate the mental health needs of clients and developing comprehensive treatment plans.
• Facilitating individual and group therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based practices to help clients achieve their therapeutic goals.
• Collaborating with clients to set realistic, measurable goals and providing ongoing support and guidance throughout their progress.
• Performing crisis intervention when necessary, ensuring the safety and well-being of clients in high-need situations.
• Maintaining meticulous and confidential client records, supporting accurate reporting and continuity of care.
• Engaging in continuous professional development activities and contributing to team discussions on best practices and emerging trends in mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on adult clients, many of whom may present with various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma-related issues, and relationship dynamics. You will have the opportunity to customize interventions based on the unique needs of each client, actively monitoring their progress and adjusting treatment plans accordingly.

Qualifications

To be eligible for this position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
• Current licensure or license eligibility as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or equivalent.
• Active registration with the relevant professional body and proof of professional liability insurance.
• Proficiency in conducting assessments, scoring, and documenting reports for adult clients.
• Strong ethical standards and the ability to maintain confidentiality in all client interactions.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, preference will be given to candidates who possess:

• Experience working within an outpatient setting or telehealth environment.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care practices and experience with diverse client populations.
• Familiarity with mental health management software for client record-keeping and data collection.

Compensation and Benefits
