Lead research, develop, and industrialization of Food Single Serve products. Executing studies, designs, tests, continuous improvement, and industrialization of food environment single serve packaging products

The candidate will be involved on all steps of capsule creation. Working together with other departments, group plants and suppliers.

Most important fields of work concerning UCC Coffee/Cocatech:

• Design and develop the technical specifications on single serve projects.
• Support project manager on all labour related to research and development.
• Project Leading: update information and progress reporting, keep in touch with suppliers and lead coordination among Cocatech departments.
• Propose potential initiatives regarding R&D on Single Serve.
• Manage/execute product trials and validation.
• Project full management
• EU Travelling 10-20% of the time

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIESManage timeline

• Keep updated on market tendencies related to capsule development and manufacturing technologies
• Responsible of Development for Single Serve Projects: trials organization, supplier’s contacts, product validation, technical characteristics, quality tolerances, industrialization & roll-out.
• Develop and manage 3D designs for new products or industrial equipment.
• Develop and maintain the technical knowledge on innovations and advances. Evaluate new technologies and share them, advising managers for investments.
• Ensure, record, and share technical know-how all over the Group which should be constantly updated
• To be a knowledge reference on engineering, technical specifications, and capsule industrialization.
• UCC/Cocatech cross departmental work: maintain a close collaborative relationship with linked departments such as Quality, Production and Marketing. Support and advise them on new projects.
• Project coordination; team members, viability, schedule, budget, goals and expectations, potential delays or issues reporting, etc.
• Evaluate materials, suppliers, and technologies according to the given projects. Leading the research, development, alternatives, etc.
• Manage laboratory equipment maintenance.

SKILLS

• Good command of English.
• Five-year experience on industrial environments related to R&D or continuous improvement.

• 3D CAD design software expertise, focused on SOLIDWORKS software (Desirable). Other systems will also be considered
• Familiar with plastic manufacturing technologies
• Problem-solving skills: assess and provide technical solutions for a wide range of project development issues.
• Analysis skills: competent on design, tests-trials perform & read, and appliance of concluded improvements.
• Support fixture and equipment maintenance, coordinate calibrations, and help maintain a safe, organized, audit-ready lab (5S).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, test standards, and basic schematics.
• Strong attention to detail, documentation discipline, and organizational skills.
• Excellent time and process management on multitasking environments.
• Team working capability. Kind relationship and teamwork within different departments.
• Experience on automation and packaging machines will be appreciated
• Collect, organize, and analyze test data; apply basic statistics and generate clear plots/tables.
• Prepare concise test reports, maintain accurate records, and follow lab standards and procedures.
