This role serves as the first point of contact for customers, ensuring accurate order taking, payment processing, and maintaining a clean, organized front-of-house environment while reflecting the values of hospitality, respect, and professionalism. Job Description / Responsibilities Include: ? Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service. ? Accurately take food and beverage orders. ? Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system and process cash, credit card, and digital payments. ? Answer customer questions regarding menu items, ingredients, and pricing. ? Prepare beverages and other simple café items as assigned. ? Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier station, dining area, and beverage station. ? Restock front counter supplies, beverages, condiments, and packaged items throughout the shift. ? Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment. ? Handle customer concerns professionally and escalate issues when necessary. ? Follow food safety, sanitation, and health regulations at all times. ? Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning, stocking, and balancing the cash drawer. ? Support other café operations as needed during busy periods. Skills/Qualifications: Excellent customer service and communication skills. Basic math skills and ability to accurately handle cash transactions. Ability to learn and operate a POS system. Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds. Previous cashier or food service experience is preferred but not required. Preferred Qualities: Friendly and welcoming personality. Strong attention to detail. Team-oriented with a positive attitude. Dependable and flexible with scheduling. Appreciation for serving a diverse community in a faith-based environment.
