Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Oncology Registered Nurse to serve as a Clinical Educator, supporting the development and education of oncology and infusion nursing staff. This role is ideal for an RN with strong clinical expertise, leadership skills, and a passion for staff development and education.
Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver evidence-based education and training programs for oncology and infusion nurses.
Conduct staff orientation, competency assessments, and ongoing professional development.
Collaborate with nursing leadership and interdisciplinary teams to improve clinical practice.
Ensure compliance with oncology nursing standards, organizational policies, and regulatory requirements.
Provide on-site education and support at regional healthcare facilities as needed.
Maintain accurate training records and competency documentation.
Requirements:
Active New York State RN License
Minimum 2 years of Medical/Surgical Chemotherapy Infusion experience
Previous experience as a preceptor or clinical mentor
Strong IV insertion and phlebotomy skills
Current AHA BLS Certification
ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy & Immunotherapy Certification
Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification
Fluent English communication skills (written and verbal)
