Summary
This position provides support to the Financial Aid Department
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Adhere to regulatory and Institutional policies and procedures.
  • Attend and participate in new student orientations.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications
Education:
Enrolled in a University of Silicon Valley degree program.
Essential Duties:
  • Must be customer service oriented. Ability to work with a diverse population of students/parents and staff, in person, over the phone, and through email.
  • Basic office skills: customer service, filing, data entry, operating a copier, fax, scanner, etc.
  • Must be dependable/reliable, and able to take initiative.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Follow office standards including appropriate dress.
  • Ability to work with and maintain confidential information.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • MS Office, Phone, data entry, excellent organizational skills, being a self-starter.

Working conditions
This job operates in a professional office environment with extensive people interaction. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and office machines. This role requires a flexible schedule (some nights and weekends).
Physical requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear and use a telephone. The employee frequently is required to sit for long periods; use hands and reach with hands and arms for such activities as keyboarding.
