Job description
We are partnering with a well-established and nationally recognized leader in demolition and construction services to recruit an experienced Construction Superintendent for its growing Raleigh, NC team.
You must have worked on a higher education project and projects in the region of $20M in value.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate all on-site construction activities, serving as the primary field contact for the project team.
- Plan, schedule, and oversee daily construction operations to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
- Ensure all work complies with contract requirements, project specifications, and quality standards while proactively managing scope changes.
- Promote and enforce safety and environmental compliance, maintaining a strong safety-first culture across the job site.
- Facilitate regular progress meetings with design teams, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), inspection records, and other required documentation.
- Oversee self-performed work to ensure production goals, budgets, and project schedules are achieved.
- Coordinate inspections with local authorities and ensure compliance with all applicable codes and regulations.
- Manage punch list completion and support successful project closeout.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized job site at all times.
Qualifications
- OSHA 30 and CPR certifications required.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as an Assistant Superintendent or Project Superintendent with a mid- to large-sized commercial general contractor.
- 5–8 years of overall construction industry experience.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred.
- Proficiency with construction management software, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of commercial construction methods, materials, and best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to manage multiple priorities.
- Professional, detail-oriented, and capable of handling confidential information with discretion.
- Ability to work in an active construction environment and perform site-related duties as required.
