GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Reporting to the regional director of nursing and clinical services and working in collaboration with a second unit manager: Plans, organizes, supervises, controls and evaluates programs, clinical, administrative, educational and informational activities related to nursing care, within an interdisciplinary context. Collaborates in the development and implementation of various clinical programs.

Ensures the day-to-day management of infection prevention, fall prevention, pressure sore prevention, safe administration of medications, application of control and isolation measures and any other measure inherent to an existing care and service program (example: OPUS-AP, living environment concept, etc.). Ensure the well-being and satisfaction of all thirty-four (32) residents on the assigned units and their caregivers. Provides quality and safe care and services to clients experiencing loss of autonomy, focused on respecting residents' rights and promoting individual autonomy according to their needs.

Ensures the provision of quality nursing care, in accordance with current policies and procedures, by qualified and sufficient staff. Mobilizes the care teams across the three shifts of his unit and works in close collaboration with the staff and managers of the residence. Ensures the application of ministerial guidelines, with regard to the "living environment" approach and the implementation of reference frameworks.

Collaborates in the implementation of objectives aimed at the continuous improvement of the quality of care and services offered within the residence. Participates in the development of performance appraisal processes, continuing education and recognition of nursing staff. Participates in the dissemination of information and data from various clinical and administrative reports aimed at developing a culture of safety within care teams.
