UCP Seguin of Greater Chicago is seeking a compassionate and skilled
CFC Behavior Specialist to support children with behavioral and emotional needs in foster homes and community-based settings. This position focuses on implementing effective behavior interventions that promote safety, stability, and positive outcomes while ensuring compliance with DCFS standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess behavioral needs and develop individualized behavior plans
- Implement and monitor behavior interventions and crisis response
- Coach and support foster families and staff in behavior strategies
- Participate in psychiatric medication reviews and monitoring
- Maintain accurate documentation, data collection, and reports
- Provide on-call crisis support as needed
Qualifications (Required)
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology or related human services field
- Minimum 1 year of experience in behavior analysis
- Bilingual (verbal and written) required
- 21 years of age or older
- Valid Illinois Driver's License with proof of insurance
- Ability to obtain DCFS CERAP and 402 Licensure within 6 months
- Ability to obtain First Aid, CPR, and CPI certification within 30 days
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to safely perform physical interventions during behavioral crises
Schedule & Environment
- Full-time, primarily Monday-Friday with flexibility
- On-call availability required
- Office, home, and community settings
