The Assistant Violin & Piano Teacher will provide both solo and group lessons to students of all skill levels, from beginner to advanced. This role involves delivering quality instrumental instruction, supervising practice sessions, teaching music theory, and preparing students for performances, while maintaining clear communication with parents.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct solo and group violin and piano lessons for students of varying skill levels
  • Supervise and guide students during practice sessions

Job Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Assistant Violin, Piano, and Music Theory Teacher to join our vibrant arts education team. In this role, you will support lead instructors in delivering engaging music lessons that inspire students of all ages. Your passion for the arts, combined with your ability to foster a positive learning environment, will help cultivate students’ musical talents and deepen their understanding of music theory. Responsibilities

Assist lead teachers in planning and executing comprehensive music lessons for violin, piano, and music theory courses.
Support classroom management by maintaining an organized, inclusive, and motivating learning environment.
Engage with students of diverse ages, backgrounds, and skill levels, providing encouragement and personalized guidance.
Help develop curriculum materials that integrate creative arts instruction, including visual and performing arts elements.
Contribute to lesson planning that incorporates choreography, dance instruction, or theatrical components when applicable.
Support students in practicing musical instruments and understanding music notation and theory concepts.
Participate in youth programs teaching arts-related activities such as photography, sewing, or cooking as supplementary enrichment options.
Experience

Prior experience working with children or in early childhood education is highly desirable.
Demonstrated experience teaching visual & performing arts, including music instruction or theater performance.
Background in curriculum development and lesson planning tailored to various age groups.
Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies.
Experience working with special education needs or childhood development programs is a plus.
Knowledge of VIOLIN & PIANO can enhance program offerings.
Previous involvement in youth programs teaching r instrumental performance will be advantageous.
