Full-time position (37.5 hours per week)

Pay starting at $36.50 - $41.98 / hour DOE

Compensation is set by agreed to language in the Collective Bargaining Agreement between CCSNW & SEIU 1199NW and determined based on experience. 

Position Description
The Therapist is in a professional position providing intensive, community-based therapeutic services to children, youth and families with serious mental health needs. The Therapist will utilize the Wraparound process to increase safety, stabilize placement and support individuals/families in meeting their identified needs by building a team of natural and formal supports. The Therapist will participate as a clinical team member, learning and practicing Wraparound principles and processes. The Therapist will participate in crisis management and the on-call rotation.


MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Team Membership:

  • Work cooperatively with internal and external teams.
  • Actively engage in consultation and supervision.
  • Model dignity and respect for others in all aspects of work.

Direct Therapeutic Service:

  • Provide diagnostic assessment (as qualified).
  • Provide ongoing assessment of client’s strengths and needs.
  • Use appropriate therapeutic modalities to build on strengths and attend to client’s needs, including individual and family therapy.
  • Participate in developing and implementing individualized service plan.
  • Provide therapeutic support/psychoeducation to families.
  • Provide in-home therapeutic services as indicated in the Wraparound plan.
  • Case management as needed.

Record Keeping:

  • Complete all paperwork according to agency policy and contract requirements, to include progress reports, service tickets, service plans, scheduled reviews, etc.
  • Learn and utilize Electronic Medical Records.

Crisis Management:

  • Work with team to provide ongoing safety planning for clients and families.
  • Share in on-call rotation for after-hours response to WISe program families.
  • Participate if needed with hospitalization or crisis placement of clients.

Community Relations:

  • Attend appropriate community-based networking meetings as requested.
  • Seek out additional training and support as needed.

Access to and protection of PHI:

  • Responsible for upholding a culture of privacy and security in highly confidential work environment (HIPAA covered entity service area).
  • Complies with all CCSWW policies and procedures that involve access to and safeguarding of client Protected Health Information (all forms).

MINIMUM:

  • Master's Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology or related field.
  • Willing/able to obtain WA State Agency Affiliated Counselor Certification.
  • Experience working with children and families in a clinical setting.
  • Ability to work in home and community settings.
  • Strengths-based orientation.
  • Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance.
  • Acceptable driving record (Driving Abstract-Full driving record required).

  • Demonstrates the necessary attitudes, knowledge and skills to deliver culturally competent services and work effectively in multi-cultural situations.
  • Criminal History Background Checks are required prior to employment.

PREFERRED:

  • Current WA State DOH licensure or Associate Licensure: Social Worker, Mental Health Counselor, or Marriage & Family Counselor (WAC 246-809).
  • 1-year relevant experience working with children and families in a clinical/mental health setting.
  • Qualified Mental Health Professional.
  • Children’s Mental Health Specialist.
  • Bilingual – Spanish Speaking.
  • Training and/or experience in Family Therapy.
  • Training or experience in the Wraparound process.
