Administrative Assistant & Communications Coordinator | Catholic Charities of South Georgia

Part-Time, non-exempt (approximately 23 hours a week).

Catholic Charities of South Georgia seeks a highly organized, technologically skilled, and mission-driven professional to serve as the Administrative Assistant & Communications Coordinator. This position provides administrative support to the Executive Director while overseeing the organization's digital presence through website management, social media, and electronic communications.

Primary ResponsibilitiesAdministrative Support

• Manage calendars, appointments, and meeting schedules.
• Coordinate meetings and prepare agendas.
• Draft, edit, and proofread correspondence, reports, presentations, and donor communications.
• Assist with project management.
• Manage the repair and maintenance of agency equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.

Communications Coordinator

• Update and manage the organization’s website to ensure accurate and engaging content.
• Create social media posts highlighting programs, volunteer opportunities, donor impact, and community outreach.
• Produce flyers, newsletters, and promotional materials using Canva or similar design software.
• Capture photos and videos at events and program activities for marketing purposes.
• Assist with email marketing campaigns and electronic newsletters.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Experience with website content management.
• Experience managing social media accounts.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple projects.
• Valid Georgia driver's license.
• Familiarity with the mission and values of the Catholic Church.
• Occasional travel throughout the Diocese of Savannah to attend events or capture program activities.
