Job Title: Specialist I - Validation
Department: Grant Services
Reports to: Assistant Director, Grants Services

Summary:
The Specialist I role is responsible for the day-to-day management of CAF America’s standard due diligence and risk management processes. Building off the administrative foundations of CAF America’s grantmaking workflows, the Specialist I applies their foundational knowledge of the regulatory environment to charity verifications and client program support. The Specialist I is also responsible for maintaining verification timelines in accordance with Grant Services department standards and timeline requirements, as assigned by the Assistant Director
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Completes the essential functions of the Grant Services team, including application management, program support, charity due diligence, and risk management
  • Manages charity application invites for standard risk levels
  • Confidently communicates with, and supports, charities through CAF America’s due diligence processes
  • Successfully completes due diligence processes for client programs to meet timeline and communication requirements
  • Efficiently completes charity due diligence and risk assessments for standard risk levels, ensuring timeline and processing success against KPIs for the Grant Services department
  • Possesses a basic understanding of Donor Advised Fund regulations and application to CAF America’s workflows
  • Maintains a foundational understanding of the regulatory requirements related to CAF America’s grantmaking practices, including Expenditure Responsibility, Anti-Money Laundering, Counter Terrorist Financing, sanctions management, and other related foreign funding regulations
  • May support Associates with administrative responsibilities, as needed

Computer/Software Experience:
  • MS Office
  • MS Teams
  • Salesforce

Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; one to two years of relevant experience.
  • Background in due diligence, risk analysis/assessment, and/or compliance.
  • Out-of-the-box thinker with complex problem-solving and prioritization ability
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills
  • Tech savvy
  • Independent self-starter. Prior remote work experience highly desirable.

Annual Salary Range: $60,000 - $65,000
