SUMMARY:

We are currently looking to add a Retail Operations Sales Representative to our field sales operations team. Our Retail Operations Sales Representative will be responsible for enhanced in-store selling and a stronger ability to ensure distribution/assortment, pricing, merchandising, and POG/shelving compliance. While in-store, these Cacique team members will be responsible for up-selling and fulfillment/replenishment, focusing on execution and merchandising for grocery stores in the FT Worth area. The Retail Operations Sales Representative will own the execution of sales and merchandising plans designed to increase sales, profits, and market share in the assigned territory.

Territories: Mckinney, Plano, Garland, & Mesquite

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Visit assigned stores to make sales calls in assigned geography based on call frequency to achieve target sales goals.
  • Own & Capture all MAPS execution activities and competitive activities via Go Spot Check (GSC) missions within assigned retail accounts.
  • Manage the timely execution of all sales programs and initiatives to ensure maximum sales and profitability.
  • Present and sell in new items to store buyers and secure orders for shelf placement.
  • Audit existing distribution/assortment on shelf to ensure all authorized items are being carried & sold. Ensure price tags are up for all authorized items and that they are priced correctly.
  • Present and sell in promotional programs to store buyers and secure orders and if possible off shelf secondary displays.
  • Plan ahead with buyers up to three months on promotions.
  • Identify and capitalize on opportunities to increase sales, space and productivity in an account while maintaining satisfactory customer service.
  • Build and maintain rapport with store level buyers.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal Sales BDMs/RSMs to achieve superior in-store results in line with Cacique goals & objectives and with customer HQ expectations.
  • Collaborate with BDMs/RSMs to execute major retail initiatives (new product introductions, contests, etc.).
  • Represent the store-level customer point of view internally on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
  • Be the Cacique Brand ambassador at shelf interacting with consumers to help educate on Cacique benefits.
  • Ensure store personnel maintain appropriate product inventory levels that meet our company merchandising and shelving standards.
  • Capture product quality concerns and report to management immediately.
  • Assist in any merchandising needed (pack out) on Cacique product to help support displays & out of stocks.
  • Transport, replace and maintain point of sale advertising as appropriate for accounts.
  • Inspect and check for proper working conditions of “Cacique” refrigeration equipment, to include temperature. If maintenance required arrangements for service to be made with leadership.
  • Utilize MOTUS to record mileage usage and provide proof of car insurance annually.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3-5 years of retail sales experience, preferably in consumer products goods industry.
  • Strong selling skill set and ability to influence store/ownership personnel through fact-based data selling.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey market insights & conditions to store/ownership personnel.
  • Self-motivated and ability to work independently within a large market and multitask across a large number of stores.
  • Effective time-management & scheduling skills, with the ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and enthusiasm for food
  • Periodic lifting (up to 65lbs), bending, reaching and kneeling, and occasional weekend work.
  • Must have a personal vehicle, a valid driver’s license, and excellent driving record for use during work hours.
  • Proficient with Smart Phones and Smart Phone apps, as well as MS Office Professional Suite.
