Paint Technician
Position Overview: The Paint Technician plays a critical role in our organization by applying paint to various surfaces according to specified requirements. This role requires a keen eye for detail, technical proficiency, and a commitment to producing high-quality results. The Paint Technician must ensure that all painting tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Prepare Surfaces: Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying appropriate primers as necessary.
  2. Mixing Paint: Accurately mix paint colors and finishes according to specifications provided, ensuring consistency and quality.
  3. Application: Apply paint using various techniques such as spraying, rolling, and brushing, while adhering to proper application methods and drying times.
  4. Quality Control: Inspect finished surfaces to ensure they meet quality standards, making any necessary touch-ups or corrections as required.
  5. Equipment Maintenance: Clean and maintain painting equipment and tools regularly to ensure proper functionality and longevity.
  6. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and promote a safe working environment.
  7. Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate records of paint usage, color formulations, and work completed for tracking and reporting purposes.
  8. Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with other team members, including contractors and supervisors, to coordinate painting schedules and tasks.
  9. Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about new painting techniques, materials, and equipment, and actively seek opportunities for professional development and skill enhancement.

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in painting or related field preferred.
  • Proficiency in mixing and applying various types of paint finishes.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work.
  • Knowledge of painting techniques, tools, and equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Physical stamina and ability to work in various environmental conditions.
  • Flexibility to work occasional weekends or overtime as needed.
Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Additional vocational training or certification in painting or related field is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
