Job description

Potomac, Maryland
Part Time 7:30am to 7pm
The pay range for this position is $17.25 - $20.00 per hour based on skills and experience. This position is non-exempt and overtime eligible.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The primary purpose of this position is to provide assistance in all dietary functions which relate to kitchen and equipment cleanliness as directed/instructed, in accordance with established food service policies and procedures.
Duties:
  • Follow safety regulations at all times
  • Follow established Infection Control and Universal Precautions policies and procedures when performing daily tasks
  • Complete daily scheduled cleaning duties, in accordance with established policies and procedures
  • Assure that the department is maintained in a clean and safe manner by assuring that necessary equipment and supplies are maintained to perform such duties/services
  • Report all hazardous conditions/equipment to the Food Services Manager immediately
  • Report all accidents/incidents as established by department policies. Fill out and file incident reports as directed
  • Maintain food storage areas in a clean and properly arranged manner at all times
  • Dispose of food and waste in accordance with established policies
  • Attend training in-services as required

Specific Duties:
  • Responsible for daily or scheduled cleaning duties, in accordance with established policies and procedures
  • Clean all kitchen equipment to include worktables, meat blocks, refrigerators, freezers, etc., regularly and as assigned
  • Sweep and mop floors as directed including mop room
  • Carry soiled utensils, etc., to wash areas
  • Return clean utensils to proper storage areas
  • Perform dishwashing/cleaning procedures. Assure that utensils, etc. are readily available for next meal
  • Wash and clean utensils as directed
  • Receive, verify, and put away food deliveries on food delivery day(s)
  • Ensure that soap dispensers are filled
  • Clean and sanitize dish machine daily
  • Collect and carry out garbage and keep work areas clean, dry and free of hazardous equipment, supplies, etc
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:
Must be current on all vaccinations including COVID- 19 and receive CDC recommended booster doses.
