About This Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate teacher to join our team as a First Steps 4K Lead Teacher. What You'll Do
  • Create and implement weekly lesson plans that align with the First Steps 4K approved curriculum, ensuring a fun and engaging learning experience for students.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and families through daily or weekly updates, keeping them informed about their child's progress and activities.
  • Maintain a clean and safe classroom environment by performing daily cleaning routines and adhering to employer policies and procedures.
  • Foster a positive and respectful classroom atmosphere by promoting a culture of safety and respect.
  • Attend all required trainings and obtain necessary continuing education hours to stay up-to-date with the latest best practices in early childhood education.
  • Follow all employer policies and procedures at all times, ensuring compliance with guidelines and regulations.
  • Adhere to the First Steps 4K Guidelines, which provide a framework for delivering high-quality early childhood education.

Requirements
  • Able to pass a Child Abuse and Neglect Registry background check, ensuring the safety and well-being of children in the program.
  • Ability to use a variety of computer tasks, including software and systems used in early childhood education.
  • Two-year degree in early childhood or a related field and must be demonstrate progress towards a four-year education program, providing a strong foundation for delivering high-quality early childhood education.

Nice To Haves
  • Experience working in a play-based environment, where creativity and flexibility are encouraged and valued.
  • CPR and First Aid Certification, demonstrating a commitment to providing a safe and healthy environment for children.
  • Ability to work creatively and flexibly, adapting to changing circumstances and priorities.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in early childhood or a related field, providing a strong foundation for delivering high-quality early childhood education.
