Dental Assistant

Location: Jersey City, NJ

Job Type: Full-Time (Approx. 32 hours per week)

Pay Range: $19 per hour

This position offers a unique, consistent schedule with fantastic mid-day flexibility on earlier days and a full day on Friday. Please review the hours below before applying:

• Monday: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
• Tuesday: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
• Wednesday: Closed / Off
• Thursday: Closed / Off
• Friday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Saturday: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
• Sunday: Closed

Key Responsibilities

• Chairside Assisting: Assist the dentist during a variety of examination and treatment procedures (four-handed dentistry).
• Patient Comfort: Prep treatment rooms, welcome patients, and ensure they feel comfortable and informed before, during, and after their visit.
• Sterilization & Infection Control: Clean, sterilize, and set up dental instruments and equipment in strict compliance with OSHA and CDC guidelines.
• Radiography: Take high-quality digital dental X-rays as directed by the dentist.
• Clinical Tech & Lab Work: Take impressions, pour diagnostic models, and accurately maintain patient electronic health records (EHR).
• Team Collaboration: Keep the clinical area stocked and clean, and assist the front desk team with occasional light administrative tasks when needed.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: 1+ years of dental assisting experience preferred, but we are willing to train a motivated candidate with the right attitude!
• Certifications:
• • NJ Dental X-ray License (Required or in progress)
  • Current CPR/BLS Certification (Required)
  • RDA or CDA license is a major plus but not mandatory.
• Tech Savvy: Familiarity with dental software (such as Open Dental, Dentrix, or Eaglesoft) is preferred.
• Soft Skills: Strong communication skills, a compassionate chairside manner, and excellent reliability to match our specific opening hours.
• Language Note: Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus but not required.
• Competitive hourly pay based on your experience level.
• Convenient Jersey City location close to public transit (PATH / Light Rail).
