Position Overview
As a Server at The Goodyear House, you are responsible for delivering a high-level hospitality experience from start to finish.
This role is about more than taking orders and running food. It is about guiding the guest experience, creating genuine connections, and ensuring every detail is handled with care.
We hold a high standard for service and expect our team to continue learning, improving, and growing. This is a place where strong servers become great ones.

Key Responsibilities
Guest Experience & Hospitality
- Welcome guests in a warm, genuine way that sets the tone for their visit
- Guide guests through the menu with confidence, including food, wine, and cocktails
- Anticipate needs and provide thoughtful, attentive service throughout the meal
- Be present at the table when food is delivered and ensure every dish is clearly explained
- Take ownership of the guest experience from start to finish, not just your section
Food & Beverage Knowledge
- Maintain a strong understanding of seasonal menus, ingredients, and preparation
- Communicate dishes clearly and confidently, helping guests understand the idea behind the food
- Make thoughtful recommendations that enhance the overall experience
Service Execution
- Manage multiple tables while maintaining consistency and attention to detail
- Work with urgency while staying present with guests
- Ensure proper pacing of courses and overall flow of the meal
Team Collaboration
- Support teammates and contribute to a smooth, efficient service
- Communicate clearly with the kitchen, bar, and support staff
- Step in wherever needed to ensure a great guest experience
Standards & Accountability
- Follow all service standards and expectations
- Deliver a consistent experience for every guest, every shift
- Maintain a clean, organized section
- Show up prepared, on time, and ready to perform
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of serving experience in a full-service restaurant
- Strong communication and guest engagement skills
- Ability to stay organized and perform under pressure
- A genuine passion for hospitality and taking care of others
- Availability for nights and weekends
