Architectural Staff Level I – San Francisco (On-Site)

Our client, an established architecture firm, is seeking an Architectural Staff Level I professional with at least three years of experience. This person will contribute to projects through multiple phases of design and documentation, completing defined assignments independently while working closely with project managers and other team members. Licensed candidates may be considered at the equivalent Architect Level I classification.

The position is suited to someone who has developed a solid foundation in architectural design and technical documentation and is continuing to build their professional and technical experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop architectural drawings, models, and project documentation across multiple phases of design.

  • Contribute to conceptual design and help translate design ideas into practical technical solutions.

  • Produce and maintain accurate project documents using Revit, AutoCAD, and other modeling tools.

  • Research and compile information needed to complete assigned design and documentation work.

  • Review project specifications, reports, consultant drawings, and related technical materials.

  • Coordinate architectural documents with information provided by consultants and other project disciplines.

  • Incorporate current project information and revisions into drawings and models.

  • Track assignments against project schedules and communicate progress to project leaders.

  • Support projects of moderate size and complexity while contributing collaboratively to the project team.

  • Complete additional project-related assignments as needed.

Qualifications

  • Professional degree in architecture from an accredited program preferred.

  • At least three years of professional architectural experience.

  • Working knowledge of architectural design, documentation, construction methods, and building codes.

  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and 3D modeling software.

  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and SketchUp is helpful.

  • Architectural licensure is welcomed but not required. Candidates who are not yet licensed should be progressing toward registration.

  • Familiarity with sustainable and integrated design practices.

  • Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Careful attention to detail and document accuracy.

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong organization and time-management skills.

  • Ability to manage deadlines and adjust to changing project needs.

  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.

Candidates must currently reside in the San Francisco Bay Area and be available to work locally. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
