Residential Elevator Mechanic
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Employment Type: Full-Time
A residential elevator company in the Phoenix, AZ area is seeking a skilled Residential Elevator Mechanic to join its team. This position will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of residential elevator systems. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical skills, take pride in quality workmanship, and be committed to providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
  • Install, service, maintain, and repair residential elevator systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and operational issues.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure safe and reliable operation.
  • Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, manuals, and technical documentation.
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety standards, company procedures, and applicable codes.
  • Communicate professionally with homeowners, contractors, builders, and team members.
  • Provide accurate updates regarding service issues, repair recommendations, and project status.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, vehicles, and work areas in a clean and professional manner.
  • Complete service documentation, work orders, and job-related paperwork accurately and on time.
  • Work independently in the field while representing the company professionally.

Qualifications
  • Prior experience installing, servicing, or repairing elevators, lifts, or related mechanical/electrical equipment preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently.
  • Comfortable working in residential homes and construction environments.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to read technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and equipment specifications.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
  • Ability to lift, carry, bend, climb, and perform physical work as needed.
  • Elevator, lift, or related trade experience is strongly preferred.
