Job description
Our client, the world's most prestigious Am Law firm, is seeking a Manager of Legal Innovation to lead a high-performing team of Innovation Attorneys while driving firmwide AI adoption, legal technology strategy, and operational excellence. This is a unique leadership opportunity to shape the future of legal innovation by partnering with attorneys, practice groups, and technology leaders across a global platform.
This role will be hybrid & can be based in D.C., NYC, Chicago, or LA.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Innovation Attorneys, overseeing day-to-day operations and strategic priorities.
- Drive AI-first initiatives and legal technology adoption across practice groups to enhance attorney productivity and client service.
- Partner with attorneys, firm leadership, and Technology teams to identify workflow improvements and implement innovative solutions.
- Develop and execute innovation strategies using data-driven insights to increase technology adoption and operational efficiency.
- Foster a collaborative culture while leading process improvements, automation initiatives, and continuous innovation across the team.
Qualifications:
- J.D. and active U.S. Bar admission required.
- 7+ years of legal experience, including at least 4 years practicing as an attorney.
- 3+ years of leadership experience managing legal innovation or other professional teams.
- Experience within legal innovation, legal technology, knowledge management, AI, or practice innovation in a law firm or professional services environment.
- Strong leadership, relationship management, strategic planning, and change management skills.
