This position plays a critical role in keeping operations organized, drivers on schedule, and customers informed.
Position Overview
This is a dual-function position serving as both a dispatcher and office assistant. You will act as the communication hub between drivers and customers while helping maintain efficient day-to-day office operations.
The ideal candidate can multitask, stay organized under pressure, communicate professionally, and adapt quickly in a fast-moving environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispatch drivers to client locations for tire pickups
- Communicate with drivers throughout the day to track routes and assign stops
- Notify clients of driver ETAs and coordinate pickup windows
- Provide pricing quotes for tire pickups and drop-offs
- Answer incoming calls and greet clients professionally
- Perform basic bookkeeping tasks using QuickBooks
- Maintain accurate tire counts in inventory software
- Handle filing and general office organization
- Ensure records and documentation remain accurate and up to date
- Support daily operational needs as required
Qualifications
- 2–3 years of office and/or dispatch experience required
- Strong knowledge of the Detroit metro area and road systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong multitasking and organizational abilities
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
- Open to feedback and committed to continuous improvement
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Basic QuickBooks or bookkeeping experience preferred
- Comfortable learning and using computer software
